Benefits will generally be computed on the basis of income received in the month an application was received in the county social service office, forward to May 31.
If the household has eligible months prior to the month of application, the LIHEAP Share Percentage and the household's co-payment percentage will be calculated based upon the actual income as of the month of application. However, the months the fuel dealer is authorized to bill LIHEAP on behalf of his customer may be adjusted to include months of prior eligibility.
